2nd Shift - PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

To achieve all scheduled batches, yields, and assigned production goals by training and managing a team of employees charged with properly preparing and packaging cooked foods that adhere to our Plant Mission Statement, while eliminating waste and ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory standards are adhered to.
Responsibilities & dutiesDevelop and execute plans, in conjunction with the Production Manager, to execute the schedule most safely and economically possible while maintaining an accurate Finished Case Yield and SVA at or above target.
Utilize thorough knowledge of cooking procedures and floor operations to oversee and train employees in all aspects of Production including, but not limited to:
job duties, safety, documentation, HACCP, GMP, proper sanitation, machine operation, machine assembly, troubleshooting, cooking, packaging, and prep.
Be up to date and knowledgeable about all products being cooked before and during production, including, but not limited to:
packaging specs, platforms, ingredients, tools and equipment required, expected yield, and organoleptic product review criteria.
Communicate professionally, both orally and in writing, with other employees (e.
g.
briefing the Production Manager and other team members as needed, providing direction, resolving conflicts, and/or writing/delivering counseling records).
Ensure employees are maintaining clean and sanitary work areas at all times.
Encourage employee commitment and hold all employees accountable and responsible for continuous improvement.
Knowledgeable of processes and job requirements of all positions in the Production department and capable of filling in for the Production Manager when absent.
Performing other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation:
High School DiplomaHACCP certificationWork experience & skillsMinimum of 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability and growth potential.
Knowledge of production, preferably hands-on experience with troubleshooting, investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and documenting findings.
Strong written communication skills with a strong ability to collaborate and work well with cross-functional teamsTrack record of successful process/project work and problem-solvingProficiency in MS Office applications.
Experience with Ammonia based systemsExperience with thermal cooked foods systems/preferably kettle cooked foods systems
