Senior Equipment Operator


Arcosa Marine is searching for a Sr. EquipmentOperator in our Madisonville, LA barge plant.

Arcosa Marine is a leading U.S. manufacturer of barges that transport dry and liquid cargoes on inland waterways.Arcosa Marine manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum and other refined products, chemicals, fertilizer, ethanol, and other liquid cargoes.Arcosa Marine also manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges that transport a variety of products, such as grain, coal, andaggregates.

As a Machine Operator, youll set up and operate metal fabricating machines, such as plasma,press, saws, and heavy-duty presses to cut, bend, straighten,and form metal parts specified by blueprints, layouts, and templates.
What youll do:
  • Set up and work with unconventional types of materials and various fabricating machines; level 2 machinery and fixturing
  • Proficiently read blueprints
  • Operate plate blaster, shear, punch press, saw and drill press machines
  • Operate beveler, grinding and deburring tools
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What you will need:
  • Requires 3 or more years of prior experience in Machine Operation or related field
  • Must have working knowledge of operating metal fabrication machinery (CNC/PLC); sheer press orsaw press is preferred
  • Must be able to shop orders to determine machine setup
  • Ability to use troubleshoot mechanics and and hand tools, including measuring tape
  • Capable of setting up and operating conventional equipment with multiple processes of turns
  • Familiar with shop math and reading specifications and measurements

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
